We will be doing FLIPPED training. That means that you will work through the workshop material, BEFORE the training and be ready to engage in the discussion below. Be ready to present and defend your assignments to your peers on Thursday. We will use the random name picker.
Assignment 1
- Submit your assignment to the submission form and make sure that it is linked to the evidence (your folder and the required blog post).
- Comment on at least 3 of your peers Flippity assignments and Kahoot blogposts, by providing constructive feedback. Some guidelines when looking at their blogpost:
- Do you understand how to use the tool, will the teachers understand how to use the tool?
- Was the video and Scribd compact, to the point and clear or were there unnecessary steps?
- What is the difference between using a video and using Scribd to explain something?
- Training Discussion:
- How will I present this to a teacher in a workshop or one on one session?
- How can I use this to assist the after school study club learners?
- How can learners use Flippity to help them with the school work?
- What badge will a learner earn if they create their own Flippity game?
Assignment 2
- Presentations
- Make sure that you have completed the 3 links on our AS 2 submission sheet
- Look at 3 different presentations and make sure that you can answer the discussion questions below
- We will use the Random Name picker to present our presentations and to test our understanding of self regulation.
- Discussion:
- Did AI do a good job of interpreting our instructions?
- How do the various presentations and content differ?
- Did you have to adapt your content?
- Was the level of the content suitable for your grade?
- Do you know what self regulation is? Let's play some of the Kahoots.
Admin
- We will be using a new admin sheet this term. Make sure that you download it here
- Make sure that you understand how it works as we will be doing a test run on Thursday.
- Please make sure that you bring a blank timetable from your school and find out all the events happening during the term.
- We will be doing rounds and doing a POINTS allocation according to the completeness of your last term's recordals and fil management.
Mandela Day challenge
- The ITE Mandela day challenge will be happening tomorrow on Mandela day for 67 minutes. Antonio will give you your instructions tomorrow morning. Be ready!!
