eMentor: Ms C. Muller

Hi! I’m Chanté Muller, a passionate Grade 6 teacher who believes learning should never feel boring. I teach English First Additional Language and Geography, and I absolutely love bringing technology, creativity, and gamification into my classroom. From digital storytelling and rotation stations to interactive quizzes, videos, avatars and AI tools, my goal is always to make learners excited to learn.

I believe technology gives every child a chance to participate, create, collaborate, and shine in their own unique way. As a mentor teacher, I am currently mentoring teachers at Rheenendal Primary School, where I enjoy helping educators explore fun, practical, and engaging ways to use technology in their classrooms.

What inspires me most to use technology in education is being a young teacher who understands both the challenges and opportunities in modern classrooms. Being part of a younger generation of educators gives me the chance to see the gaps in traditional teaching methods and find creative ways to make learning more meaningful and interactive for today’s learners.

I truly want my learners to want to come to school every day, to feel excited for my classes, to enjoy learning, and to feel confident and capable in my classroom. Through gamification and technology, I have seen learners become more motivated, creative, and willing to participate because learning feels exciting and enjoyable.

Seeing my learners smile, laugh, collaborate, and genuinely enjoy learning while still understanding the work is my biggest inspiration. Technology allows me to create a classroom environment where learners feel safe to explore, create, and express themselves while building confidence in their abilities. My message to other educators is simple: do not be afraid to try something new.

You do not need the fanciest resources to make a difference, creativity, passion, and a willingness to learn alongside your learners can completely transform a classroom. Technology will never replace great teachers, but it gives us powerful tools to inspire learners and make education unforgettable.
