My name is Laura-Mari Griesel and I am a Foundation Phase teacher at Fraaisig Primary School in Knysna, where I currently teach Grade 1 learners. I am the mentor for Sunridge Primary School.

Technology has become an important part of my classroom and teaching approach. I love using interactive tools and digital platforms to make learning more engaging, creative, and accessible for young learners. Whether it is through educational games, visual presentations, or online classroom resources, technology creates opportunities for learners to participate actively and enjoy the learning process. It also helps me reach learners with different learning needs and keeps lessons exciting and meaningful.

I believe technology should not replace good teaching, but rather enhance it. Even small steps with technology can make a big difference in learner motivation and participation. My advice to other teachers is to start simple, stay curious, and allow yourself space to learn alongside your learners.
