A Bit About Myself
Hello there! Let me take a moment to introduce myself. I’m someone who thrives on enthusiasm, care, and connection. If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that a smile (even if it’s not always on my face) can make a world of difference. Yes, I may have a serious look most of the time, but I believe it’s part of what makes me approachable and respected by the incredible team of educators I work with.
My journey in education began at Hornlee Primary and continued through Fraaisig Primary, finally leading me to Knysna Secondary School. Each step along the way has been filled with opportunities to grow, inspire, and be inspired. At Knysna Secondary, I’ve found my passion in shaping the future—not just in academics but also through innovative programs like the LEGO Robotics and coding club. It’s here that technology meets creativity, and learners discover the thrill of building, coding, and problem-solving.
Over the years, I’ve honed my skills in Microsoft applications to the point where typing with my eyes closed is a fun challenge rather than a feat! My expertise extends to AI tools and PowerPoint, where I bring ideas to life with flair and precision. Setting ambitious goals for my school and myself is my driving force, and this year, I’m taking it to the max—striving for nothing less than excellence.
While I’m a firm believer in maintaining professional boundaries, here’s a glimpse into my philosophy: life is meant to be enjoyed. Every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and find joy in the journey. I aim to bring that philosophy into everything I do, creating an environment where education is as engaging as it is enriching.
