
Formative is an interactive educational app that allows teachers to create real-time, formative assessments and assignments. It enables educators to design assignments with various question types, such as multiple choice, short answers, and essays, and integrate multimedia like images and videos. Teachers can monitor student progress in real-time, give immediate feedback, and track performance with detailed analytics.
Make sure that you upload all your Proof of Evidence (POE) to your school (G-drive) folder for us be able to officially award your badge. Ask your ITE for your folder link. Check how many of the following criteria you have already mastered! The criteria for the Formative Badge are as follows:
Please make sure that you can do ALL of the items below. If you can't do it, please ask your friendly ITE for support. You have to be able to:
- Successfully access and sign into Formative using a personal or institutional email account. (Formative.com)
- Access the library of previously made resources.
- Create an activity on Formative for your lesson/ class and share the link in your lesson plan.
Badge Activities

Activity one (ALL)
- Register for an account on the Formative site.
- Create a new formative from scratch or a pre-made template.
- Customize the title, description, and design of the formative to fit a specific educational purpose, such as an assessment or interactive lesson.
- Include at least 5 question types (e.g., multiple choice, short answer, free response, true/false, matching).
- Set questions as required or optional, and use features like hints, time limits, and scoring rubrics where necessary.
- Incorporate multimedia elements like images, videos, or audio to at least 3 questions to enhance engagement.
