Today we will be getting on top of all things tech! We will also use our favourite strategy, learning (rotation) stations and group work.

• We will use Flippity to divide the group into 4 groups. Use the random wheel to pick the person to to help us to do that.
  • Go to Flippity.net, click on instructions and insert eveyones names - pick the person to do the groups
  • Use the Groups of 4 feature to divide everyone into groups.

• Each group is given 2 new tablets
• You will be setting up the new tablets for use by the teachers and learners.
• You will also be required to make a How-to tutorial recording of how to do it for our tech tiktok channel.
• NB!!! The recording must be properly saved and named e.g. How to install Kahoot
• We will use the best ones for our SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)

Activity 1: Wifi

• Connect the tablet to the wifi. All group members have to know how to do this. 
• Set the tablet display time to 5 minutes. 

Activity 2: Screen recordings and sign-ins

• How do you do a screen recording on a tablet? 
• Set up the laptop with a gmail address and create a screen recording of how to do it. 
• Set up tablet with gmail address  kilttech81@gmail.com

Activity 3: Installing apps

Installing apps on the tablet. Each group member must take turns doing a few of the installations. Do one screen recording instruction tutorial (per group) on how to install an android app on a tablet. (Vertical video for tiktok instruction sharing)

Activity 4: Home screen shortcuts

• Do a screen recording of how to put a shortcut on the home screen. 
• Install a shortcut to the klearning.co.za website on the homescreen. 

Activity 5: Learning stations

Stations 1: Lab operations (give a demo and record a short vertical video)

• Server - switch on and off 
• virtual machine -How to switch on and off and function.
• Internet - How to change proxy settings
• Access data/ information -map network drive, copy data to public drive.

Station 2: Smart Classroom (give a demo and record a short vertical video)

• Connecting the following devices
