My take outs from this induction week are the following:
I have started my invigorating journey as an ITE Junior enabler this past week and it has been nothing short of amazing. This opportunity has assisted me with gaining an understanding of the expectations of the program, connecting with peers and Kilt elearning team members, and learning about the values and principles I have to live by as an ITE enabler.
All of us as the new junior ITE’s have gained a clear understanding of the workload and priorities, established a supportive network, and become effective and have taken steps towards being responsible ITE’s committed to promoting quality learning in our work spaces. I have come to realise that this job is daunting and/or formidable but if you are motivated and have a hunger to succeed this will all be a manageable experience.
During this time I have learned about computer operations, we went into depth about computer components (CPU, RAM, graphics card, , robotics, IT skills development, the do’s and don'ts and a whole lot more. We also had a presentation presented by the lead of the LEGO robotics team, Antonio Willeman, on what I think is the most exciting faction of this whole program. In the session, we got an overview of the project entails as well as practical experience where we were paired up to build and code our very own robot. I thoroughly enjoyed that opportunity therefore I would love to be part of that project.
Overall, this induction week has been a crucial step towards succeeding in the ITE program and preparing for a successful future. I truly believe that the skills I will be gathering on this journey will serve me well in the future, near and far. I am blessed and wholeheartedly grateful for being afforded the valuable opportunity to be part of something as magnificent as this. I can not wait for what the future holds. YAAAARRIIIBBBAAAAA!!!
