Create a poster and get your poster badge

It is teacher appreciation month and we want to let our teachers know that we love and appreciate them!!

Learn how to create a poster using a drawing programme that you can find on any Windows computer (Paint). Not only would you have learned how to make a good-looking poster, if you are a beginner computer user, you will also:

• Be a pro in using a programme's action ribbon 🦹
• Know what every icon can do 🤩
• Know how to move your mouse like a guru ninja 🥷
• Save (the world) your files where you can hide and find them again! 😂🌏

Activity 1: Learn how to use MS Paint (Draw a selfie)

• Open this easy-to-use instruction manual with pictures and find out how to open and use the Paint program on your windows PC to create your masterpiece! Click here
• Let's first do a self portrait! Draw a "selfie" of your face with mouth, eyes, nose, hair, ears. It must look like you! 😂
• Save your selfie creation in your school folder under your name!

Activity 2: Create a Teacher appreciation poster

• Make a list of all your teachers and pick your favourite!
• Create a thank you poster just for them. Don't forget to mention WHY they are the best!!
  • Insert or draw a picture
  • Insert text
  • Insert shapes
• Save the thank you poster in your school folder
  • Make sure that you save the poster image under your name with the teachers name e.g.
    WillSmith-Mrs Rabie.jpeg
• Ask the ITE to check your poster and send it to the teachers (or if you have an email send it to them yourself)

Skep a plakaat vir onnie waarderings maand!

Dit is onderwysers waarderingsmaand en ons wil ons onderwysers laat weet dat ons hulle waardeer!!

Leer hoe om 'n plakkaat te skep met behulp van 'n tekenprogramm wat jy op enige Windows-rekenaar kan vind (Paint). Jy sal nie net leer hoe om 'n uitstende plakkaat te skep nie, jy 'sal ook leer hoe om:

• 'n Pro wees in die gebruik van 'n program se funksies🦹
• Weet wat elke program ikoon kan doen 🤩
• Weet hoe om jou muis soos 'n guru-ninja te beweeg 🥷
• Jou lêers te stoor waar jy dit weer kan vind! 😂🌏

Aktiwiteit 1: Leer hoe om MS Paint te gebruik (Teken 'n selfie)

• Gebruik hierdie maklike instruksiehandleiding met prente om uit te vind hoe om die Paint-program op jou Windows-rekenaar oop te maak en te gebruik om jou meesterstuk te skep! Klik hier
• Laten ons eers 'n selfportret maak! Teken 'n "selfie" van jou gesig met mond, oë, neus, hare, ore. Dit moet lyk soos jy! 😂
• Stoor jou selfie-skepping in jou skool lêer onder jou naam!

Aktiwiteit 2: Skep 'n Onderwyser's waarderings plakkaat

• Maak 'n lys van al jou onderwysers en kies jou gunsteling!
• Skep 'n dankieplakkaat net vir hulle. Moet nie vergeet om te noem WAAROM hulle die beste is nie!!
  • Voeg 'n prent in of teken een
  • Voeg teks in
  • Voeg vorms in
• Stoor die dankieplakkaat in jou skool lêer
• Maak seker dat jy die plakkaatbeeld onder jou naam stoor met die onderwyser se naam bv. WillSmith-Mev. Rabie.jpeg
• Vra die ITE om jou plakkaat te kontrolleer en dit aan die onderwysers te stuur.
