My onboarding journey as an ITE junior has been a very exciting way of starting my career. I hope to take advantage of the resources and opportunities available to me and to learn and grow in my role. Our ITE manager, Lyndie, together with the trainee manager Dru, have given us a broader understanding of what lies ahead in our careers as ITE enablers. We discovered just how much work was expected as well as how challenging it could be.

Thus far I have learnt the various software and hardware, servers, troubleshooting and all the components of a computer etc. We learnt that we had to sometimes get comfortable with getting dirty and looking cute was not always an option.

I have also learnt about robotics and coding as well as social media marketing and the different platforms we use.

The most challenging part of the journey has been creating Tiktoks, I'm very camera shy and sometimes think my bones are made of wood.

Most importantly I have learnt about my team, understanding my job responsibilities, familiarized myself with the company culture such as the company's values and mission. This will help me understand how to work effectively with my colleagues and contribute to the company's success. The experience has given me a deeper understanding of the steps and lengths taken by
Edunova and KILT to improve education in schools with disadvantaged backgrounds as well as how crucial my input and dedication will be in to ensuring the school remains motivated until the goal is reached.
