At the start of August we said goodbye to our previous cohort for coding and welcomed our second cohort for the year. As our old cohort awaits their certificates, with sadness that they cant join again, the excitement from the new cohort could be felt by our brilliant ITE's.
Our lego robotics is also a highlight in the lab. Our learners are currently busy working with the ultrasonic sensor and our ITE's are introducing the new Spike robots to the grade 8's. With our previous cohort they tackled the touch and color sensor. Learners are able to drive through a puzzle, calling each color by name till the end. Our learners love the food provided by our caterers.
During school hours the teachers of Percy Mdala book the lab for lessons, these lessons are integrated with CAPS. The teachers lesson plans are uploaded on to the kiltelearning website. In the science period Ms. Mjamba used an app called snaplify with her learners.
