On Saturday, November 2nd, we hosted our annual TeachMeet—a day dedicated to celebrating the hard work, creativity, and innovation of our Diep (Deep Integrated ePedagogy) teachers. This event shined a spotlight on educators committed to bringing tech-driven, engaging lessons into their classrooms. It also showcased some cool apps, old and new, and how it can be used in our classrooms. As we celebrated our teacher's diep engagement this year, we also had prize wheels for badges and lessons completed as well as a knowledge Crypto hacking game to evaluate what they have learned throughout the year in a fun way.

We were incredibly proud of our "Diep dive" teachers who were brave enough to enter our DIep e-Lesson category splash-off. Here, they had to compete against each other, time (they only had 5 minutes each), and the random wheel to showcase how they have used technology in a DIeP way in their classrooms this year. We were in awe! Our esteemed judges used an AI-generated rubric to ensure the scoring was fair. Please keep your eyes on future blog posts as we feature lessons from our brave hearts to inspire us all.
Congratulations to our winners: in the Best Diep Lesson category, Miss Kirsten Tome from Fraaisig Primary School took first place, with Miss Zanette Terblanche (Concordia Primary School) in second and Miss Margie Phillips (Knysna Secondary School) in third.

For the App Smash, where teachers had 3 minutes to convince a tough crowd that their apps were the best, first place went to Miss Chelsea Gallant (Concordia Primary School), followed by Mr. Houston Kock (Concordia High School) in second and Miss Jessica Sutcliffe (Fraaisig Primary School) in third. All bravehearts walked away with some tech prizes for themselves and their classrooms.
As part of our celebrations, we proudly honored Ms. Desiree Adams with the Most Improved Teacher Award. Her dedication and commitment to personal and professional growth are truly commendable. Congratulations, Ms. Adams!
Other event highlights included the e-Lesson Spin, where eligibility required three completed Diep lessons, and the Wheel of Fortune game, where teachers with five badges or more were able to participate. The Crypto Hacking game, powered by Blooket, challenged participants’ knowledge of our eLearning program in a fun and interactive way.
At our event, we celebrated our Top 3 ITE’s (Information Technology Enablers) of the year! Congratulations to 1st Place: Anidene Wildeman (Fraaisig Primary School), 2nd Place: Logan Tony (Concordia Primary School), and 3rd Place: Raylene Donson (Rheenendal Primary School). Their dedication to tech integration in the classroom is truly inspiring!
Special thanks to Knysna Primary School for hosting us, and to our incredible judges: Mr. Samuel Bowers, Miss Rolandi Brenkman from the Eden and Central Karoo Education District’s eLearning department, and Miss Sandra van Niekerk from KILT’s Math Teacher Development Program. Your expertise and time made the event truly special.

We are also deeply grateful for the support from Miss Suzi Cinderey from KILT and our generous sponsors at PAN Solutions and Parrot Products. Also, to DMC Event Solutions, and Miss Susan Brown for catering helped make this event a memorable success.
