During the first week, we had an absolute blast with a few selected schools joining the KILT-Edunova ITE's for an incredible microbit training session. Edunova and the British Council sponsored this fantastic event. And guess who else was with us? WCED's very own Subject Advisor for Coding and Robotics, Leanne Donson!

Calling this experience amazing would be an understatement. From the get-go, our dynamic facilitators, Louwincan and Kurt, hooked everyone. They created an exciting, competitive, and savvy atmosphere that kept us all on the edge of our seats.

Let me tell you about the magic of the microbit—a pocket-sized computer that's small but huge in potential. This little gadget can do it all, from powering scoreboards to creating music, and seeing its versatility in action was nothing short of inspiring.

During our week with the microbit, we dove into some seriously cool challenges. And let me tell you, it was a rollercoaster! We had moments of neck-warming stress, a bit of hair-pulling frustration, tons of excitement, and yes, a few musical malfunctions. But that's what made it so much fun!

The highlight of our microbit training week was that we got to play with our food. Yup, we powered the microbit with apples and bananas. Isn't that bananas, you ask? Homework: Go Google why it's not bananas! But the fun didn’t stop there. We also tested various friendships with our friendship meters. It was a blast seeing which friendships passed the microbit test!

We can't wait for the Microbit to make its way into our schools and inspire young minds. Here’s to inspiring more young minds with innovation, critical thinking and problem-solving!
