Hey there, Yesterday was an absolute whirlwind of excitement and knowledge in our lab as we embarked on an illuminating journey into the world of AI and language processing. Our special focus? ChatGPT – the revolutionary AI language model that's been making waves across various fields. We had the distinct pleasure of hosting a session for teachers, diving into the depths of how to effectively wield the power of ChatGPT in educational settings.

With hearts brimming with anticipation, we ITEs orchestrated an insightful session with ChatGPT. The star of the day was none other than Cameron Jantjies, who guided the proceedings with finesse and charisma. Through a brilliantly crafted PowerPoint presentation, Cameron painted a vivid picture of how ChatGPT functions and, most importantly, how it can be harnessed to amplify the educational experience.

With step-by-step demonstrations and practical examples, the teachers were soon fired up to embrace this cutting-edge tool. I then created a scribe for just incase they need more guidelines which I will send out on a later stage.

Amidst the interactive learning atmosphere, a standout moment arrived when Mr. McKock raised a question that sparked intrigue throughout the room. His inquiry? Whether ChatGPT possesses the remarkable ability to comprehend and respond in languages other than English. Specifically, he wondered if it could carry on a conversation in Afrikaans, a language close to his heart.

My senior ITE Cameron revealed that indeed, ChatGPT has been designed to comprehend and respond in multiple languages, including Afrikaans.

Our teachers at Fraaisig Primary left equipped with newfound knowledge, armed to harness the potential of ChatGPT. With an array of ideas and strategies, they are now poised to revolutionize their classrooms, fostering an environment where technology and education intertwine harmoniously.
