We are thrilled to welcome our new e-learning lead, Zanene Sibiya to our KILT Edunova team. She brings with her a broad background across the education sector, including classroom teaching, school leadership, curriculum and assessment, and teacher development. This experience will allow her to work with teachers and schools from a place of both professional expertise and practical understanding.
Her work is driven by a strong belief in the role of educational technology as a tool for effective teaching and learning. In a rapidly changing world, education cannot afford to fall behind. Teaching and learning must continue to evolve to prepare learners for the demands, skills, and ways of thinking required in the 21st century.
Her focus will be on supporting teachers in integrating technology in ways that are meaningful, manageable, and grounded in sound pedagogy. This means moving beyond surface-level adoption of tools and towards purposeful use that enhances learning, supports teachers’ practice, and responds to the realities of South African classrooms.
She is passionate about teacher development and committed to ensuring that KILTs e-learning programme remains practical, relevant, and responsive — supporting educators not just to use technology, but to use it well.
Having worked closely with teachers across diverse school contexts, she places a strong emphasis on practicality, sustainability, and respect for teachers’ time. She believes professional development should be supportive rather than overwhelming, and that meaningful change happens through consistency, reflection, and real classroom application.
We know she will receive a warm welcome from all our schools!
